Nobody wants to face end of life issues but they are a very important and necessary part of life.

Aside from the legal issues at the end of life there are other considerations to be dealt with as well.
A person with a terminal illness for whom treatments are no longer working may choose to return home to live out their final days. In this case one may want to enlist the services of a Hospice organization. Many times a doctor can give a recommendation for Hospice and of course it is also acceptable to contact them without the doctor needing to. A note about this, it is always better to enlist Hospice services BEFORE they are imminently necessary.
